Sami Sew N Sew

Hello
Welcome to Sami Sew N Sew, I am so happy you are here.

My name is Sami, and I am the owner, and creator at Sami Sew N Sew. I love sewing, procuring fabrics and faux leathers, designing one of a kind works of art, and meeting good humans.

I am entering my 5th year of business in 2025, and cannot wait to see what this year brings.

I have learned so much, met so many good humans, and done more than I could have ever dreamed when I started sewing at the end of 2019. I am so blessed to still be hanging in here, and look forward to what 2025 will bring.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, I can't wait to make your next one of a kind creation.

My Story
A random $5 sewing machine from an Oregon Goodwill, while on vacation, and a hyper fixation was born.

Long before I knew I had ADHD, and a slight touch of autism, I thought I was just a crazy girl with a whole lotta hobbies. I never thought picking up that random thrift store machine would have led to this.

The first thing I had ever sewn was a square pocket out of a worn out dishtowel that was in our scrap bin, because I didn't own any fabric. That was the moment sewing grasped my soul and has never let go. I was meant for this.

Almost 5 years have passed since I decided to open up shop.. Countless sewing machines, thousands of fabrics,, an infinite amount of cuss words and one supportive husband, I am still going strong. Its hard to give up something you love, even through the tough times.

When I started, I had no idea how to thread a machine, sew a straight line, or barely turn on a computer. A lot has changed, including being able to read a pattern, run a website, use multiple machines from embroidery, to sergers, as well as my semi industrial Juki. I am also the designer of many of my one of a kind creations. I curate all of my fabrics, most from small businesses like myself, as well as exploring the higher end shops in the major cities we visit. Fabric is life, even on vacations.

My ADHD Bain does well on its own for the most part, but does not take kindly to special orders, therefore, I do not do them. It's very hard for my neurodivergent brain to work under the pressures of creating the perfect bag for one individual.

Another perk of my brain is the ability to create one of a kind creations. It gets bored with repetition, so all of my bags are handmade and original.

I am always here if you have any questions, and I encourage you to join us on Facebook. We have a private group as well as a public page. you can find us at Sami Sew N Sew.

I am "sew" thankful for whatever brought you to my small business, I can't wait to create something magical for you!

Don't worry, I am not spammy. I have sent out one email in 4 years, but once I get it figured out, there won't be more than one a month.
